URL (any web page), DOI (e.g. 10.1038/s41586-022-04465-y), or ISBN (10 or 13 digits).
How it works
URL — Most pages we can scrape directly via your browser. Some sites block cross-origin requests; if that happens, we fall back to manual entry.
DOI — Looked up via the public CrossRef API. Free, no key needed. Works for most journal articles, conference papers, and academic books.
ISBN — Looked up via the public Open Library Books API. Free, no key needed. Accepts 10 or 13 digits, with or without hyphens.
Privacy — Lookups go directly from your browser to CrossRef / Open Library. We never store, log, or transmit your sources to ClassMinds servers.
Always double-check. Style guides change. Edit fields above to fix anything wrong, then regenerate.
Citing for a class? ClassMinds remembers your sources.
The full app keeps every reference linked to the class and assignment you cited it for. No more "wait, where did I find that?"
