Free is free, forever — no card required. Pro is billed through the App Store with standard Apple subscription rules. No student-discount gating — one simple price for everyone. Hour packs are one-time purchases, never auto-renew.

- What's actually free?
- Up to 3 classes, schedule import from your school's schedule PDF (1 per term), AI-detected assignments from your syllabus, and class reminders — forever, no card required. You can also study from notes your classmates have shared, including the flashcards and quizzes they generated. Plus 5 free hours of lecture recording in your first month with full AI summaries, flashcards, and quizzes on those recordings.
- What happens to my 5 trial hours?
- You get 5 hours of recording during your first 30 days. After whichever comes first — 5 hours used or day 30 — recording pauses. Notes you already made stay forever (read-only summary, key points, flashcards, quiz). Upgrade to Pro to keep recording.
- What does Free not include?
- The AI tutor on your notes, manually adding assignments, note exports (PDF/DOCX), and recording past your first month or 5 hours. Those are Pro features.
- Why a 15-hour cap on Pro?
- Honest answer: lecture transcription costs us real money per hour. A 15-hour cap covers ~3 lectures/week, which fits most students. Heavy users buy a pack — light users save. It keeps the base price low for everyone.
- What happens if I hit 15 hours mid-month?
- You'll get a heads-up at 12 hours. After 15, recording pauses until you buy a pack or the next billing cycle. AI tutor, summaries, flashcards, and quizzes on existing notes keep working — only new recordings pause.
- Do unused hours roll over?
- Pack hours roll for 90 days. Base 15 hours reset monthly so we can keep the price flat.
- Can I downgrade from Pro back to Free?
- Yes — cancel anytime. Your existing notes and classes stay intact, but Pro features pause. If you go back over the 3-class Free limit, your oldest classes archive (we never delete).
- What if I'm only a student part of the year?
- Cancel Pro anytime; your account drops to Free. Notes and classes stay intact in case you come back next semester.
- Can my school buy it for a class?
- We're planning a Campus plan with SSO, admin tools, and a DPA. Email us if your school is interested.
- How do I cancel Pro?
- From your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Standard App Store — we never gate cancellation.
